Welcome Purple Team Students and Parents!
The first day of school was a wonderful experience. I am excited to get to know all of you. All of the students did a terrific job learning to get around the building and make it to classes today during our "mini schedule." What was your favorite part of the day? The first unit of our CMP curriculum is called Variables and Patterns. You will be using your knowledge of tables and graphs to identify variables, look for patterns, make predictions, and decide the best way to display your data. You will be gathering your own data from group activities, displaying this data, and presenting it to the class.
Do you have any ideas of what a variable is? What things in the world around you vary? What kinds of things cause other things to vary?
